Ross Video has launched Ultrix FR30, a 30RU hyperconverged media-infrastructure platform designed for large broadcast, sports, outside-broadcast, corporate and media facilities.

The new frame is the largest member of the Ultrix family and supports up to 576×576 UHD I/O in a single chassis. Ross says multiple FR30 frames can be combined for larger deployments.

Like other Ultrix systems, FR30 brings high-capacity routing, multiviewing, audio and video processing, media-gateway functions, production switching, screen processing and control into one platform. Those capabilities are activated through software licensing, allowing a facility to add functions as requirements change rather than dedicating separate hardware to each role.

Ross says the platform supports SDI, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, Dante, SRT and JPEG XS, positioning FR30 as a gateway between legacy baseband and IP media transports. The company is showing Ultrix FR30 at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam.
