Sonifex has introduced a second-generation AoIP I/O range that connects analogue and AES3 equipment to Dante or RAVENNA/AES67 networks in a 1U rack format.

The analogue range is available in 16-input, 16-output and 8-input/8-output configurations, while the AES3 version provides eight inputs and eight outputs. Buyers can specify XLR or terminal-block connections. The analogue units accept balanced and unbalanced line-level signals, and provide a recessed front-panel switch for setting global 0 dBFS line-up to +12 dBu, +18 dBu or +24 dBu.

Dual RJ45 ports provide redundant network connections and PoE power; USB-C can supply power where PoE is unavailable. Dante versions are configured through Dante Controller, while RAVENNA/AES67 models use Merging Technologies’ ANEMAN management software.

Sonifex says the analogue Dante variants are now shipping.
