Biamp Ships Devio UCX 1000 Bundle for Small and Medium Teams Rooms

The package combines UC compute, a Parlé VBC 2800 conferencing bar and touch control. Biamp says Devio UCX is now certified for Microsoft Teams.

Biamp’s Devio UCX 1000 conferencing bundle is now shipping through authorized resellers and integrators, according to ProSoundWeb. The publication reports that the package is Certified for Microsoft Teams; Biamp’s October availability announcement also states that Devio UCX is now Microsoft Teams certified.

The small- and medium-room package, listed by Biamp as the MRB-UCX1000T-VBC2800 Quick-Install Bundle, combines the Devio UCX 1000 compute platform, Apprimo Touch 10 UCX-T touch controller and Parlé VBC 2800 conferencing bar. Biamp positions the UCX 1000 for huddle spaces and small-to-medium conference rooms using a connected conferencing bar.

Biamp describes Devio UCX as an Android-based UC compute platform with integrated DSP for Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms. ProSoundWeb reports that the UCX 1000 is built on Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform and runs Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android. The Touch 10 UCX-T provides USB-C content sharing; ProSoundWeb says users can switch between a Teams meeting and a laptop through that connection.

For commissioning, Biamp says its Launch software identifies connected peripherals, measures reverberation time, noise floor and frequency response, then configures equalization, acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction and loudspeaker levels. Biamp also says its Workplace platform provides remote device-health monitoring, firmware management and access to Launch reports.

The bundle offers integrators a packaged option rather than a separately assembled compute, control and conferencing-bar system for smaller Teams Rooms. Projects requiring distributed microphones, loudspeakers or more extensive room capacity may instead fall within Biamp’s higher-tier UCX 2000 or UCX 3000 configurations. The materials reviewed do not identify the exact UCX 1000 SKU or bundle configuration covered by Biamp’s certification statement.
