The updated mastering plugin adds a redesigned limiter, expanded tonal and dynamics processing, and level-matched reference and bypass workflows.

Musik Hack has released Master Plan 2, an updated version of its mastering plugin. The company describes it as the next generation of its flagship all-in-one mastering tool, combining final-stage dynamics, EQ, saturation, resonance management and metering functions in a single processing chain.

According to Musik Hack, the redesigned limiter adds presence, body and compression controls alongside improved True Peak processing. The stated processing revisions also include refined low-, mid- and high-EQ circuits, a redesigned multiband compressor, dynamic resonance suppression, adjustable tape saturation and improved anti-aliasing. Four saturation options are joined by Glow, Aura and Silk controls, which the company positions for cohesion, tonal-character adjustment and high-frequency saturation.

The update also expands evaluation and comparison tools. Musik Hack says Master Plan 2 includes automatic input leveling, a low-latency mode, loudness analysis, and gain, spectral, EQ and imaging meters, plus a difference meter for gain and saturation changes. Users can load reference tracks, use latency-compensated bypass and loudness-matched monitoring, and save up to three settings snapshots—tools intended to support level-matched mastering comparisons.

Legacy Mode retains the original Master Plan signal chain, while customizable interface themes are also included. Musik Hack offers a free 10-day trial, with trial downloads for Mac and PC.
