The firmware update brings AuviTran’s AV-HY64-AVB card to RIVAGE PM consoles, opening a direct 64-channel AVB I/O path for supported systems.

Yamaha RIVAGE PM Firmware V7.20 adds support for AuviTran’s AV-HY64-AVB interface card, according to ProSoundWeb’s report of AuviTran’s announcement. The compatibility update applies to RIVAGE PM10, PM7, PM5 and PM3 systems, giving those consoles a direct connection to AVB networks through the card.

ProSoundWeb reports that the AV-HY64-AVB provides 64 input and 64 output channels at 48 or 96 kHz. AuviTran identifies the card as an AVB-specific option for the RIVAGE PM family and positions it for connections to AVB-compatible amplifiers and immersive-audio processors. That makes the update chiefly relevant for multichannel AVB distribution from the console in installed, rental and live-integration systems.

The card includes primary and secondary EtherCon connections for network redundancy, ProSoundWeb reports, alongside AAF and CRF stream support and flexible clock synchronization. AuviTran’s product sheet also lists AVB redundancy support and says a RIVAGE PM system can accept up to four cards, though the supplied material does not establish slot capacity or aggregate routing limits for each console model.

Card configuration and firmware updates are available through AuviTran’s Windows AVS-Monitor software, according to ProSoundWeb. Yamaha V7.20 also reportedly adds support for DM5 and DM5 Compact consoles, RUio0804-D, RUio1608SB-D and RUio16FLX-D utility I/O units, and DME5 and DME3 signal processors.
