The first panel in Clear-Com’s planned Mentrix line combines lever and rotary hardware controls with a configurable touchscreen for IP-based production communications.
Clear-Com has debuted Mentrix Flex, a hybrid intercom control panel combining physical controls and a touchscreen interface, at NAB Show New York 2026. The company is targeting broadcast, racing, theatre, outside-broadcast trucks and live-event applications.
Mentrix Flex has 16 keysets: eight physical lever keys and either eight or 16 rotary keys, alongside touchscreen controls. Clear-Com says operators can adjust touchscreen control layouts as production roles and workflows change, creating a panel that combines dedicated hardware operation with configurable on-screen functions.
For networked production environments, Mentrix Flex supports Audio over IP integration and Power over Ethernet. Clear-Com says PoE removes the need for a separate power supply, which could simplify installation at communications positions served by suitable network infrastructure. The company also lists USB connectivity, widgets and visual tools, a dynamic display, and VESA compatibility for mounting on compatible monitor arms, walls and workstations.
Clear-Com positions Mentrix Flex as complementary to its existing V-Series panel portfolio rather than a replacement. It is the first panel in the Mentrix line, with additional panel concepts planned.
