The new service is designed to watch Dante, AES67, ST 2110, sACN and NDI infrastructure continuously, with alerts for network and endpoint issues.
Eighty32 Show Tech has launched Network Watch, a managed monitoring service for live-production networks carrying audio, video, lighting and control traffic.
As described by Eighty32, Network Watch monitors infrastructure used for Dante, AES67, SMPTE ST 2110, sACN and NDI systems, issuing alerts when issues arise. Its stated scope includes switch errors, link failures, bandwidth saturation, optical receive levels, PoE capacity and switch temperatures.
For audio-over-IP environments, the service is also said to monitor PTP clocks across Dante and ST 2110 or AES67 networks, inventory Dante and AES67 devices, and flag endpoints that become unresponsive. That could give network teams earlier visibility into clocking or device-availability issues before they affect operation, though the announcement does not provide independent performance data.
Network Watch also checks the two paths of ST 2022-7 redundant systems independently, according to Eighty32. That capability could help teams isolate a path issue before a redundant transport configuration loses protection. Monitoring of sACN universes and NDI sources extends the service beyond audio networking into wider production infrastructure.
Eighty32 founder Chris DeBrizzio described the intended model as continuous oversight comparable to RF monitoring during a broadcast, with users notified before problems become audience-facing.
