The eighth Big Bang Orchestra collection packages synchronized performances by three harpists, with single-note triggering for glissandos, chords and textural material.

Vienna Symphonic Library has released BBO Harps, a three-harp ensemble virtual-instrument library for its Big Bang Orchestra series. Rather than assembling parts from separately programmed harp instruments, users select a scale or mode and key, then trigger synchronized ensemble performances from a single note, according to the product description reported by ProSoundWeb.

The library was recorded on Stage A at Vienna Synchron Stage with harpists Tina Žerdin, Veronika Villányi and Magdalena Fürntratt. The musicians performed together, adjusting phrasing, timing and touch as an ensemble. That approach is intended to provide coordinated harp gestures for orchestral writing, particularly where the timing and articulation of multiple players are central to the sound.

Reported material includes upward and downward glissandos in various tempos and lengths, chords in different keys and scales, bisbigliandos, looped performances, random playing, and gong and thunder effects. Vienna Symphonic Library also reports that each harp was captured with two close microphones alongside mid, Decca tree, surround and high-surround setups. Those positions may offer options to balance closer detail against a broader stage perspective, though the report does not specify the library's microphone routing or controls.

BBO Harps is the eighth Big Bang Orchestra collection, joining Tutti, Riffs, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion and Choirs. The series is intended for orchestral production across film, television, games and trailers, according to Vienna Symphonic Library.
